We keep hearing complaints from our environment-conscious friends about how expensive those eco-friendly products are in New Zealand. This has obviously has become a barrier for people who want to make the switch to a plastic-free and low-waste lifestyle.
After months of researching, we are finally able to launch a series of products that are environment-friendly, durable, aesthetically pleasing and more importantly, at a reasonable price. And that is how
A Good Store was born.
Quality eco-friendly products at affordable prices
Low prices are the cornerstone of our vision, business idea and concept. The basic thinking behind all our products is that low prices make well-designed, durable eco-friendly products available to everyone. After all, our mission is to offer a wide range of eco-friendly products with good design and function at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them.
We are constantly trying to do everything a little better, a little simpler, more efficiently and always cost-effectively.
"Naked" products
A study from Ohio State University says that “the cost of the packaging as a percentage of total selling price can range from 1.4 percent to as high as 40 percent."
The products we shipped only carries as little packaging as possible to reduce costs and avoid waste. Most of our products do not even have a logo on it.
As we feel that there is nothing worse than opening up a large container and seeing that the product takes up only a small portion of the packaging. And we hate watching that oh-so-carefully designed container ends up in landfills, oceans, and rivers, causing harm to surrounding wildlife and ecosystems.
Make the switch
We believe living a plastic-free and low-waste lifestyle shouldn't be difficult or expensive. While switching over to something as small as a reusable straw may not mean much, using one product over and over again instead of its single-use counterpart diverts a lot of plastic from landfills and oceans. Every effort counts.
As an environment-conscious startup, we aim to minimise the environmental footprint of the making and use of our products as we grow our business. We strive to offer eco-friendly products that excel in quality at lower prices which has been achieved by avoiding waste in the form of unnecessary functionality, an excess of decoration, and needless packaging.
